Sharing
Lychee provides flexible sharing options to control who can see and interact with your photos.
Public Sharing
Section titled “Public Sharing”Make albums publicly accessible so anyone with the link can view them. Public albums can optionally:
- Require a password for access
- Allow or restrict downloads
- Be listed on the public gallery page
User-Based Sharing
Section titled “User-Based Sharing”Share albums with specific registered users on your Lychee instance:
- Grant read-only or full access
- Cross-user sharing allows collaboration between users
- Per-album access control ensures fine-grained permissions
Embedding
Section titled “Embedding”Albums can be embedded in external websites, allowing you to showcase your photos on blogs, portfolios, or other sites.
Sensitive Albums
Section titled “Sensitive Albums”Mark albums as sensitive to hide them behind an additional click, useful for content that should not appear in public feeds or previews.
Link Sharing
Section titled “Link Sharing”Generate shareable links for albums. With the Supporter Edition, you can also use:
- AES-secured links — encrypted links that prevent URL tampering. See AES-Secured Links.
